Growing up in Southern Pines, North Carolina, Anne awoke every day immersed in creative thought. Her southern landscapes and rich seasons fed her imagination and love of color. Influenced by her mother who was also an artist, Anne grew up in a rich artistic environment. Anne now resides in Atlanta with her husband, Frank and her Jack Russell Terrier, Gus.

In her early years as an artist, Anne studied with the acclaimed Russian Impressionist and portrait artist, Marc Chatov, under whose tutelage she painted only from life for the first eight years of her art career. Working with Marc Chatov was where her journey as an artist began to evolve from the Russian Impressionist School.

Anne is best known for her distinctive style and her well executed compositions. Her passion lies in placing emphasis on richly developed shadows with emphasis on the play of light across the canvas.

Anne received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Arts in History from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Emory University.
